I absolutely love Evan Rachel Woods version of this song! I sing it it to my Little Mister. Who by the way is doing fabulously! He's 14 months now, sleeping through the night and is off bottles....GO Coop-a-Loop!

March Wake-Up Work Pack is done :0) (There are general March worksheets, Seuss inspired ones, and St. Patties Day).

The skills covered include:
Digraph sort, counting tallies, number comparisons, addition, subtraction, writing conventions, beginning and ending sounds, number recognition, writing letters, missing letters, nonsense words, rhyming, greater/less than, blends, graphing and data analysis, sight word recognition, writing numbers, counting by 1's, 5's, and 10's, and base ten and number composition.

The packet has 20 worksheets in it (2-3 levels for each), plus one Fill the Shamrock game. It's a total of 57 pages (55 if you take away the first and last).

I finally got the DJ Inkers Commercial License, Yay!!!! First up, my focus wall. Here's a pic,

Based on feedback I changed up the Focus Wall to include I statements, so it will look a bit different. The entire wall is to be used as a form of goal focusing with your students. The main headings are Theme, Math, Reading, Writing, Phonics, and Phonemic Awareness. It is all based on the Common Core for Kindergarten. Along with a TON of I statements, 42 letter sound combinations are included, Dolch sight words (90 sight words with blanks), 78 word family cards, and 41 theme cards (with blanks).

I am also hosting a Learning Resources Giveaway! I wanted to try out this Frog Game for number and color matching, but the main reason I wanted this was for fine motor development. I noticed over the last few years that students are coming in with less control. This is PERFECT to get those muscles working!

A Little Seuss

Hello all!


Well, I know that March is going to be a difficult month and there is no point to dwelling on things that are beyond my control, right? Time for some Seuss, books that are fun to read and all things nonsensical!


I could spend the time and find the pictures of all the books I read, but we all know...you are here for the goods ;-).


I read all the favorites. I don't do a full on Seuss unit, maybe I will work on it during the summer. For now, here are some activities that I do in my room. Later on this week, I am hoping to post pictures, but I'll be honest, I am not the greatest when it comes to snapping pictures. I'll try though!

I stumble through Fox in Socks and my students giggle all the way through it! The Fox with Socks matching is fairly simple.

The Blocks in Socks is an interesting activity. I take six baby socks and number them. I put one attribute block in each sock. Students have to feel the block through the sock and try to draw the shape in the sock on the worksheet. It ties in perfectly with an Everyday Math lesson. The second page of the worksheet is for students to practice tracing and drawing.
